Few kilometres far from the centre of
Ravenna is the largest funfair in Italy, the famous Mirabilandia,
the wonderland. Even at a considerable distance, it is possible
to see its Eurowheel Ferris wheel, among the largest in the
world with its diameter of 90 metres. From the top, visitors
can enjoy a breathtaking view especially in the evening.
The park of Mirabilandia extends along 850.000 square metres
and is provided with gardens, lakes and thousands of lush
plants where it is possible to spend both pleasant and exciting
days. Mirabilandia is the ideal solution for both families
with children, young people and adults looking for exciting
experiences thanks to its 44 attractions and 15 live shows.
Among the attractions which made the park famous are Katun,
the fastest and longest rollercoaster in Europe, Columbia
& Discovery, two 65-metre-high towers, the Niagara waterfalls
and the rapids of the Rio Bravo, water paths to be covered
by rubber dinghies or trunk-shaped boats. The 4D cinema proposes
a world preview of the film Fly me to the moon. Beyond the
three-dimensionality, the cinema offers vibrations, water
squirts, air puffs and other devices to involve spectators.
A whole area of the park, Bimbopoli, provides safe attractions
designed for children: Mini Falls, Little Rabbit Express,
Crazy House, Flying Arturo, Fantasyland, Ottoland, Santa Fé
Express. Since 2003 the park has been provided with an aqua
park, Mirabilandia Beach, the new Caribbean beach of the park,
provided with swimming pools, water chutes, artificial beaches
and water attractions.
All the different areas host magic and comic shows, musicals
and the traditional evening show based on lights, water and
laser rays, the Laser Night Show. Among the most appreciated
shows in Mirabilandia is Police School, an exciting stunt-show
where protagonists interpret the role of policemen who run
after thieves at an incredible speedness through cars, motorcycles
and breathtaking acrobatics.
